Glenn heads the Infrastructure Debt Investments team at HSBC Global Asset Management, bringing almost 30 years of infrastructure experience to the role. He heads a team which invests globally in USD infrastructure debt and in a select range of Asia Pacific local currencies.
A seasoned practitioner in the infrastructure sector, Glenn has worked as a policymaker and adviser to public procurers, private equity sponsors and infrastructure debt investors, debt structurers and originators and as an asset manager.
Glenn’s broad sector experience spans airports, availability based PPP projects, conventional energy, oil and gas, ports, transportation, renewables, telecommunications and utilities. He has closed transactions in North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia Pacific.
Glenn began his career with HM Treasury, where he helped develop some of the earliest transport PFI projects. Following this, Glenn joined Arthur Andersen as an adviser on the procurement and financing of PFI projects in the UK. Between 2001 and 2008 Glenn structured and originated debt at the monolines Ambac, MBIA and then FGIC, where he was European Head of Infrastructure. Since 2008 Glenn has worked at the interface between infrastructure debt opportunities and investors as Chief Investment Officer of Hadrian’s Wall Capital, as a partner of FHW Capital, and at HSBC Global Asset Management, which he joined in 2015.
Glenn has a first class BA in History from King’s College London.
